At work today my coworkers told me that eating chili and cinnamon rolls was a common Nebraska thing. I gagged and then laughed because obviously they were playing the "let's gross out the temp" game. Except they weren't. Apparently cinnamon rolls and chili for lunch or dinner is a common and much beloved Nebraska thing. I don't think I will ever try to find out why. This is even after I ate the horseradish infused pickles, so I am no food sissy.
Also I am eating some sea salt speckled chocolate. It is much more delicious than I could have even imagined. It has chunks of rock salt mixed into %47 dark chocolate. I also bought some Ghirardelli but it isn't as good. This is all a part of my advent partying.

Have you ever had salted caramels? They are surprisingly delicious. I love anything that is a combination of salty and sweet. French fries and a Frostie; salty, buttery popcorn drizzled with white chocolate...oh man. I'm so hungry...
Also, I'm confused about the chili and cinnamon rolls? They eat them TOGETHER? Like, putting the chili ON TOP of the cinnamon rolls? Or together, like take a bite of chili, then eat some cinnamon rolls, then eat some more chili? Because it it's chili ON TOP of the cinnamon rolls, that is barftastic - to quote Sarah, kind of.
I'm with Lisa Lou all the way. If it's chili ON TOP of cinnamon roll...gross!
And yet, I might be willing to try it...I like all the things she listed that are sweet and savory. Hmmm.
